I think this is a Great hidden gem on the south side of Des Moines. They have good food and vegi options which is limited in Des Moines fast food Chinese places. The bad: no restroom, can drinks only (check dates on them) The good: food, Chinese, fast, alright pricing, nice family restaurant, order and eat

Started coming here in the late 80s.. went in today and missed the old owners. I believe their family moved to California like us. Owners have probanly changed 3 times but the decor inside looks about the same since 80s lol. American Chinese comfort food. I love it. Mongolian beef and hot braised shrimp. Brought back a lot of memories man! Remember nothing fancy here

For a little dive hole in the wall this place serves up some pretty fresh Chinese food. We got 4 full dinners and 8 extra egg rolls for $43. Took about 15 minutes to get the food. They only serve drinks in cans. Perfect for those nights your in a hurry and don't feel like cooking.

This place is my go-to Chinese joint. Get the sesame chicken. Let me paint you a picture. You open your white carton to a beautiful, Studio Ghibli-esque presentation of golden honey-colored morsels of breaded chicken, flecked with bits of sesame, soaking into a large mound of perfectly cooked white or fried rice, your choice. Oh, but you're like, big deal! That's what all sesame chicken looks like, Monty! But you're so very, desperately wrong. You bring a forkful or...chopstick-full of these tender nuggets to your mouth. You pop them in. Immediately, that sweet, tangy sauce melts unto your tongue. The breaded chicken, however, is still moist and pleasantly spongey, and the meat? Tender, as though the breading hugging it in a warm, decadent embrace reassures it that yes, you are loved. "Be the best bite of chicken you can be," it says. I'm serious. It's that good. Everything else on that menu can be absolute trash but the sesame chicken? Out of this world. I don't even know if the eggrolls are good and the place is named after them because I can't bring myself to not over indulge on their sesame chicken. My friend tells me to skip the egg drop soup, but who really eats that stuff? They have a cool grab toy machine that has a bootleg Gameboy Color in it that I haven't been able to win, but... someday.
